ΙΤΑLY : In 13 dead after administration of influenza vaccine

The number of people who died Italy  after using influenza vaccine manufactured by Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis was 13, was announced  yesterday by the competent  Italian authorities.

The National Medicines Agency Italy (AIFA) urged citizens not to panic and noted that there are still no evidence that the vaccine is responsible for  the  deaths.

They noted further that preventive prohibited assignment of two batches of vaccine FLUAD pending investigations are ongoing.

The AIFA announced that the European Medicines Agency will begin to examine the situation on Today , and  on Thursday will make announcements.

Last Thursday, the Italian authorities imposed a partial ban  on FLUAD after the information that three people died and another was hospitalized in critical condition in 48 hours from receiving the vaccine.  More such cases were announced  a fe days later.
